In The Bahamas, day-care centres register with the Department of Social Services under the Child Protection Act 2007, a law built around children's welfare and safeguarding rather than the day-to-day running of a nursery. It sets no explicit first-aid or CPR requirement for staff, so there is no strict statutory mandate on that point. In practice, keeping trained caregivers on the floor is the expected standard of responsible care.

There is no childcare-specific anaphylaxis or epinephrine framework in The Bahamas, and adrenaline auto-injectors are prescription-only and are not kept on hand in day-care settings. Where a child is known to be at risk, the sensible course is to work from the family's own prescription — securing written parental consent, clear instructions and safe, reachable storage so that help is never locked away in an emergency.
